Overview

Orange Bay is a beautiful sea excursion from Hurghada to Orange Bay on Big Giftun Island. The area is known for its clear water, sandy beach, relaxing atmosphere and beautiful photo spots.

The excursion starts with hotel pickup and transfer to the marina. After boarding the yacht, the guides help guests settle in, take photos and provide instructions before departure.

During the journey to Orange Bay, guests can enjoy the beauty of the Red Sea and make stops at beautiful reefs for snorkeling or diving.

At Orange Bay, guests can swim from the beach, relax on the sand, use SUP boards, explore different photo zones and enjoy the clear water. The beach area includes bean bags, wooden walkways and beach huts.

There are also local food options, crystal-clear swimming areas and relaxing spaces with views of the Red Sea.

Guests spend approximately 1.5–2 hours on the island before returning to the yacht and heading back to Hurghada.

Program 1 – Orange Bay without Diving

This option includes the full Orange Bay sea excursion without diving.

Program 2 – Orange Bay with Diving

This option includes one introductory dive during the reef stop.

The dive lasts up to approximately 15 minutes per person, including preparation, with a maximum depth of 7 meters. Diving may sometimes take place from another yacht when the boats are anchored at the reef.

Itinerary

Hotel Pickup

Pickup is approximately 8:30 AM.

The exact pickup time is confirmed after booking. The transfer from the hotel to the marina takes approximately 10–40 minutes, depending on the hotel location.

Yacht Departure

Guests board the yacht and depart for the Red Sea at approximately 9:30–10:00 AM, depending on authorization from the tourist police.

Snorkeling / Diving Stops

There are normally two stops at coral reefs, each lasting approximately one hour, depending on the guide’s decision and conditions.

Guests can enjoy snorkeling, while those who selected the diving program can participate in the included introductory dive.

Orange Bay

Guests are transferred to Orange Bay for approximately 1.5–2 hours of beach relaxation and swimming.

Return

Guests return to the yacht after the island stay and head back to Hurghada.

Expected arrival at the hotel is around 5:00 PM, although the exact time may vary slightly.

Important Safety Information

Guests must not go to the upper deck while wet. They should dry themselves completely with a towel first to avoid slipping on the stairs.

The yachts have a capacity of approximately 20–40 passengers, depending on the vessel and the capacity limit imposed by the tourist police.

Orange Bay vs Paradise Island

The operator explains that Orange Bay and Paradise Island are both located on Big Giftun Island, approximately 15 minutes apart by yacht.

Orange Bay:

Paradise Island:

Drinks can be purchased on both islands, generally around $3–$7 per drink. The operator also notes that outside snacks and drinks are not allowed into Orange Bay, while Paradise Island is less restrictive.

What to Know Before Booking

The operator states that the main Russian-speaking groups are usually on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. On other days, international tourists may also be present.

Sometimes the two snorkeling stops can be combined into one longer stop of approximately 1.5–2 hours, depending on weather and other conditions.
